The Dharmawangsa Jakarta is pleased to announce the promotion of Ms. Novi Samodro as the first Indonesian female General Manager of the five-star luxury hotel in Jakarta, which this year marks its 20th hotel anniversary.
Graduated from Hotel Management Course at College of Canyon in USA and National Hotel Institute of Tourism in Bandung, West Java, Ms. Novi Samodro with her strong passion in Sales & Marketing background, and broad knowledge of the luxury hotel business, has an impressive 25 years experience in some of the prestigious International five star chain hotels such as Four Seasons, Intercontinental, Hilton and Shangri-La before joining The Dharmawangsa as Director of Sales & Marketing in July 2011. Before quickly progressing to Asst. Managing Director in January 2015 and finally celebrating her silver anniversary of her career, she has reached an outstanding performance with her leadership as a new General Manager in August 2017.
Overseeing all aspects of award winning hotel, in her new role and capacity as General Manager of The Dharmawangsa Jakarta, Ms. Samodro will continue to build on the hotel’s reputation with its legendary Indonesian luxury experience where the hotel is inspired by the Indonesian art and culture presented in the modern way of living with personalized service, while maintaining its position amongst the great hotels in Indonesia especially Jakarta. She will be responsible for day to day operations and strategic direction of the hotel.
Ms. Samodro will manage the hotel’s 99 suites, the restaurants and lounges, banquet & meeting facilities including wellness and sport facilities as well as Bimasena Private Club.

Ms. Novi Samodro is the eldest of five daughters and happily married with 2 children. In her spare time, Novi loves to read and enjoys traveling.
