Sofia at The Gunawarman throughout the month of August will be featuring a deep dedicated love for the country through their “Merdeka High Tea” programme, where the establishment partner up with renowned chef, Petty Elliott in creating the finest afternoon high tea experience ever.
The Merdeka High Tea set will be offered through the month of August from 2 pm to 6 pm at Sofia The Gunawarman. Choose your selection of Teas from Earl Grey to Chamomile, English Breakfast and many others, or a simple black coffee to go with the amazing food created by Chef Petty Elliott.
The selection of food that goes well with the high tea selection comes in the form of East meets West combining classic Indonesian savory delights such as nasi kuning with spicy and sweet tuna arancini, mini burgers with pulled spicy chicken, ayam pop and bubur Sum Sum with palm sugar and cashew.
Sofia at The Gunawarman is also marking the occasion with contributing to Yayasan Taman Bacaan Pelangi owned by Nila Tanzil to help the organisation’s effort to establish libraries in Sumba island. The organisation have successfully established fifty-one libraries across Flores, Sumba and Raja Ampat helping children in remote areas to a better knowledge and better future.
