That is why it is definitely not hard to find a spa retreat in Jakarta, as it is Jakarta’s pleasure seeker’s favourite destination that provides instantaneous rejuvenating therapy.
One way to find the best of the best, you will only need to find top luxury accommodations in the city. What’s New Jakarta recently got invited by our friends in DoubleTree Hilton Jakarta to try their range of spa treatments, an invitation just in time for an R&R in the middle of the day!
For their spa facility, DoubleTree teams up with Alaya Spa to offer their guests a range of tempting treatments from head to toe. Upon entering, we were greeted by a waiting room with spacious seating area and a welcoming smile.
The spa has a couple of spacious private rooms that can fit up to two persons, perfect for a couple’s spa or a pampering day with your best friend. Each of this room is equipped with an in-room bathroom, closet and even a Jacuzzi bath tub. I also notice the Aroma Actives amenities provided (to replace their previous Crab Tree and Evelyn skincare) for all hotel room guests, are also available for the spa guests.
The guest relation officer offered me the ‘spa menu’ and suggested one of the spa’s most recommended treatments: the Relaxing Spa Massage with the choice of Traditional, rejuvenating, aromatherapy and natural healing massage; the traditional is perfect for those looking for the typically Indonesian strong pressure massage, while the others are the more gentle massage that is perfect for those looking for ultimate relaxation, available in 60 and 90 long minutes.
If you are not to get a full-body treatment, DoubleTree Spa also offers specific treatments for hand, foot, face or a combination of both, ranging from 45 to 60 minutes. There is also the Body Glow package (90 minutes) that will get you completely relaxed with body massage followed by an incredibly soothing face acupressure. To also rejuvenate your skin, opt for the Body Sparkling treatment (90 minutes) that entitles you to a natural body scrub in addition to your massage.
For couples, the Lovely Romance package (100 minutes) is highly recommended; in this package, other than a head to toe massage, you will also have a private aromatic bath time in the jacuzzi with your significant other. For the ultimate spa experience, the Rejuvenate Body treatment (100 minutes) tops it off with a combination of all the said treatments.
The best part of it all is that although DoubleTree is indeed a luxury accommodation, their spa doesn’t come with a five-star price tag; all the treatments listed starts from Rp. 285,000++ (for the 45 minutes foot reflexology) and their most expensive treatment, the full-on rejuvenate body treatment, will only set you back Rp. 785,000++, which I think is a great bargain!
Overall, I was pretty impressed with DoubleTree Spa’s facility and the great value for money service. Highly recommended and I will definitely come back for more!
