Indonesia Elects Regional Heads and Other Updates

Dear Jakartans,

The Indonesian government has declared 9 December 2015 as a national holiday, due to the nationwide regional elections that will be conducted that day. The decision is aimed at enabling voters employed outside their regions to cast ballots in the district head, mayoral and gubernatorial elections in their hometowns, Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo said here on Monday.

To close the year with a festive note, we had a blast at the WhatsNewJakarta Christmas Power Lunch last last Thursday, 3 December 2015 at the Art Café at the Raffles Hotel Jakarta with its chic interior and delectable food.
