The hotelier world was shocked and saddened of the passing of the President Director of Discovery Hotels & Resorts, Poul E. Bitsch on Wednesday, 9 December 2015 at Abdi Waluyo Hospital. Poul was 56 years old.
Poul E. Bitsch has more than 30 years of experience in hotel industry. Since 2000, Bitsch was assigned as a General Manager of Hotel Borobudur Jakarta and President Director of Discovery Hotels & Resorts that managed Hotel Borobudur Jakarta, Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel Bali, Discovery Hotel & Convention Ancol and Palace Hotel Cipanas. He also a former Chairman of Jakarta International Hotels Association for 8 years or 2 periods successively.
Under his leadership, Bitsch made great strides in business expansion, on 2011 Discovery Hotels & Resorts successfully open Palace Hotel Cipanas and Discovery Hotel & Convention Ancol on 2014. He also actively support CSR activities through Artha Graha Peduli as well as JiHA
Memorial service at Heaven Funeral Home, Aquarius – Pisces Room, 8th Floor, Jalan Gedong Panjang No. 47, Penjaringan, Jakarta Utara and the cremation will be held on Saturday, 12 December 2015 at 13.00
