Homemade by the Discovery pastry team this gingerbread train is inline with the FUN expected by visitors to Ancol Dreamland. Once you enter the grand lobby, our huge Christmas toy is set to cheer you up in the spirit of joy and happiness at Discovery Hotel & Convention Ancol during the month of December. Decorated with over 500 gingerbread cookies in various styles, it is combined with chocolate and candy to complete the sweetness of this joyous season.
Chef Olvi Paulina, the tournant pastry chef, and her colleagues were inspired by the kind of transportation she uses every day, a train. To give our hotel a different look and feel from other hotels, they decided to create this gingerbread train instead of an old fashioned gingerbread house.
Ginger Cookies, Macarons, colorful Santa Chocolates, regular gingerbread houses, Stollen, Cassava, Christmas Cupcakes, Chocolate and Cheese Grissini sticks – all of those are homemade anyway! – are wrapped and displayed inside the waggon of our gingerbread train.
