Jakarta, 23 July 2015 – Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, together with renowned fashion house Sissae, welcomes the Mid-Autumn Festival in style with an annual mooncake fashion show at the hotel’s Lobby Lounge on 22 Augusts 2015. The event will also feature the yearly mooncake charity auction, the proceeds of which will go to Shangri La’s Care for People programme, Embrace.
Guests are welcome to feast their eyes on a gorgeous line-up from Sissae while giving back to society by taking part in the silent mooncake auction. This year, the hotel presents eight custom-made boxes made using materials from the collection and filled with sumptuous mooncakes and complimentary Dilmah tea.
Sissae’s private collection, “SWOON” incorporates the enchanting charm of mystical floral embroidery and laser-cut technique in the most alluring style. Models will showcase an array of perfectly hand-tailored cheongsams that accentuate a subtle sexiness and timeless elegance fit for any occasion and suitable for a wide range of age groups.
Guests will be visually entertained with charming silhouettes from the cheongsams made with meticulous precision and details that amplify the simple garment into extraordinary pieces. Sissae will auction one of its pièce de résistance, not only pleasing to the eyes, but also the soul, for Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, Embrace.
Guests are also encouraged to dress to impress in an “Oriental elegance” theme with different prizes at stake for the three best-dressed guests, who will be announced during the event. The first-place winner will receive a round-trip ticket from Jakarta to Singapore, the second-place winner will have the privilege of experiencing a weekend stay at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta and the third winner will receive two tickets to renowned Indonesian singer Andien Aisyah’s “Metamorfosa” concert.
This event is part of Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta’s mooncake promotion series and supported by Sissae and Elise eyelashes.
