New Dining Spot: The Docks German Restaurant

If you’re a true pork fanatics, you probably have heard and cried a little bit that Metro’s German restaurant in BSD closed a few months ago. But your sorrow should only be short-lived, as the great food, merely changes look, address, to a brand spanking new spot in The Breeze BSD called The Docks.

Say hello, or The new restaurant now sports a fresher look of circa second world war maritime vibe, complete with antique diving helmets, German submarine replicas, and ‘dock’ style decor.

The restaurant merges with bar and pool table area, as well as a stage for live music performance, and 60″ TV screens, perfect for those lively sports-watching/drinking nights.

Although The Docks also serves a wide range of favourite western food like burgers, sandwiches, and pizzas, bearing the title ‘German’ restaurant naturally means some of the must tries in this restaurants are its pork dishes. Such as their bacon-wrapped tenderloin that is crispy on the inside and incredibly tender inside, served with either french fries, baked/gratin/mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and German apple cream sauce (pictured below).

Another must try is the legendary Pork Knuckle, which that offers the best value for your money too. Weighing nearly 1 Kg, don’t be too shy if you want to share the humongous portion! You might also want to try their selections of wursts or sausages that you can sample with the Sausage Platter. From the bratwurst, hirtenwurst, pork tuhringer, beef chorizos, served with your choice of potatoes.

Although it is famous for its pork dishes, those who don’t eat pork can sigh in relief and thank The Docks’ large menu. Other than the obvious western fares, their menu also includes Indonesian favourites and a wide range of International cuisine.
