On Friday, 7th April 2017, InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar collaborating with talented young designer, Fetty Rusli, successfully held a Wedding Showcase event titled RETROMANTIC by Fetty Rusli. This event became a melting pot between many of wedding vendors such as the make-up artist, wedding photographer, wedding host, wedding car rental also numbers of media and also fashion blogger from Jakarta and Bandung. The future bride and groom are also invited to this event.
Fetty Rusli started her career in 2011 as a home industry and marked her career with her first ever solo fashion show in 2014, titled “This Spring I Say I Do”. Fetty Rusli’s signature style in designing has been consistent to the feminine and lady-like silhouette, shape and curve worshipping that make women look stunning and beautiful on their own. RETROMANTIC by Fetty Rusli inspired by the fashionable era of 80’s, the year when she was born. The 80’s was all about bold fashion statements and in this collections, Fetty combines it with her signature style and renewed with an edgier look to suit the current era, she simply brings a present from the past.
RETROMANTIC were filled with Fashion Show displayed the beautiful works of Fetty Rusli, who has just successfully held the same event in PARIS and JAKARTA. The event began with a press conference with media from Bandung and Jakarta. As for the spokesperson from InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar were Nike April as Marketing Communications Manager, Laurentia Ira as Director of Events and Fetty Rusli herself. Before the fashion show started, the guest could enjoy the InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar wedding’s signature dishes while making their mark by posing on the RETROMANTIC wall-of-fame.
General Manager of InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar, Pascal Caubo, is also say his gratitude and appreciation for all of the guests who coming especially Fetty Rusli herself along with all the sponsors. On his speech, Pascal also giving a presentation about the upcoming Outdoor Wedding Venue at the hotel that hopefully would be done in August 2017.
He closed his speech by giving the recognition plague to all the sponsors including Fetty Rusli. The fashion show started with a magnificent opening, combination of great lightning works and mesmerising visual effect on the giant LED featuring a classic image building architect or charming natural scenery just like in Paris.
All the models elegantly walk along the catwalk to show the collections. In total there are about 30 designs that night on the catwalk from Wedding Dress to Cocktail Gown. Fetty mostly uses elegant colour with hues of nude, goldish, white and black. The event receives so many positive comments from the guest, it was really such a night to remember.
On the event, there were Franda and her celebrity husband, Samuel Zylgwyn that support the event alongside with Rinaldy Yunardi, a well-known accessories designer whose works are seen to be worn by global artist such as Katy Perry. The event then closed with many gifts and exciting door prizes such as Dining Voucher in our Damai Restaurant and Tian Jing Lou Skyview Dining also Stay Voucher at our Club InterContinental Room. And there are also complimentary 100 wedding guest free of charge for every future bride and groom if they book their wedding date during the event.
