Pullman Jakarta Indonesia observes International Earth Day on Saturday, April 22 with a renewed focus this year. This year’s “Planet 21 Day” will center around the sustainable and responsible eating topic, reflected by three actions: the fight against food waste, the creation of an urban vegetable garden and the offer of healthy and sustainable food and beverages.

To celebrate, the hotel has created a Healthy Cookbook tht consists of a collection of 20 recipes that promote healthy ingredients and responsible cooking methods. This cookbook comes in digital format in support of the global Planet 21 movement to reduce paper use. The digital cookbook can be accessed via website, or downloaded right to user’s mobile phone for easy cooking guide anywhere, anytime.

The recipes promote well-being diet, made of real unprocessed food, organic vegetables whenever possible and some feature herbs growing in the hotel’s own sustainable garden. In addition, guests are always encouraged to finish the dish and everything on the plate without feeling guilty and we always encourage guests to finish everything on their plates. It is beautifully laid out with ample color photos, an equally great addition to the library of any foodie or food activist.
