The facade of the hotel is Inspired by one of the Javanese’ most humble and widely used culture, art of weaving. With its strong philosophy and sturdiness of the weaving technique, ARTOTEL Yogyakarta wields this technique in its design concept “Weaving in Harmony”, which also continues to the hotel’s public space and rooms.
A striking golden slide, connects 2nd floor to 1 st floor, inviting the guests to take a lunge and slide down. Like other ARTOTEL properties, this 105 room hotel is supported by 6 local contemporary artists to create artistic elements in its rooms and facilities. Artists’ scouting and artwork selections is done by ARTOTEL Project Series (APS) team, an art divion of ARTOTEL Group and curated by Heri Pemad, a well-known curator from Yogyakarta who also founder of ART JOG, a prestigious annual art exhibition in Yogyakarta.
