Jakarta, Indonesia – ONE Championship is set to return to Indonesia’s bustling capital city next month, and fans are expecting another spectacular evening of martial arts which they have grown accustomed to since the promotion began staging live events in the metropolis back in 2011. ONE: TOTAL VICTORY is set for Jakarta on 16 September, in what should be another memorable night.
Set to play host to this blockbuster event is the state-of-the-art Jakarta Convention Center, which has showcased live ONE Championship events for a couple of years now.
“Whenever ONE Championship hits Indonesian shores, big business often soon follows. Live events, particularly during fight week, experience tremendous influx of profit and revenue among small and medium businesses in the metropolis,” said Chatri Sityodtong, Chairman and CEO of ONE Championship.
“Throngs of fans from neighboring Asian countries, as well as media members and various industry professionals all flock to cities where an event will be held. It’s no wonder why live sporting events have such a huge impact on local economy,” he added.
Earlier this year, ONE held ONE: QUEST FOR POWER in the very same venue, and it was one of the most talked about sporting events in recent memory. It was a tremendous effort in ONE’s first offering in 2017, kicking off a year that has been absolutely phenomenal so far.
ONE: TOTAL VICTORY is the promotion’s third event to be held at the Jakarta Convention Center. The main event bout will feature former ONE Flyweight World Champion Kairat Akhmetov taking on Team Lakay stalwart Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio. Additional bouts have yet to be announced, but as is usually the case, ONE Championship never fails to provide a healthy mix of the absolute best in local and international martial arts talent.
