PAULANER BRAUHAUS
The Germans are fantastic with their beer (and sausages), and when it comes to serving a pint of good brew, then there’s only one or very few places that you may want to visit. Apart from it being centrally located in the heart of the city (and one building with Jakarta’s most coveted address) Paulaner Brauhaus serves up mean glass of home-made brew, and their sausages selections and other German cuisines, may very well be our favourite in the city (we’re a sucker for good beer and sausage).

HARD ROCK CAFE
It is hard not to include Hard Rock Cafe to the list. They have an awesome outdoor bar and a great selection of beer on tap or by the bottle, plus you also get an unbelievable view of an afternoon urban vibe just by sitting on its outdoor bar (especially good when spent with your colleagues between 5-7pm). Order some of their wings or main course to accompany your glass.

BEER GARDEN SCBD
Another gem in the SCBD area, Beer Garden SCBD is no different than their branches in Kemang and Radio Dalam, but the SCBD venue offers a different experience in enjoying fantastic afternoon beer. With an addition of lush green on its establishment, Beer Garden SCBD continues to raise the beer in their selection of beer and liquor on offer.

AMIGOS KEMANG
The classic venue for punters to enjoy great Mexican dishes, Amigos Kemang continues to become the number one destination for great Mexican cuisine and brilliant selection on alcoholic beverages. Come here on Monday to abuse their ‘Monday Madness’ promo where all booze slashed 50% of its original price, sounds tempting, doesn’t it? Be mindful that the crowd here on Mondays are relatively young (and wild, mind you)

McGettigan’s Irish Pubs
Serving up good alcohol and selection of Irish cuisines in the heart of Kuningan is what makes McGettigan’s an absolute exception when it comes to afternoon drinking. Their hearty food and Guinness on tap should prove to be an excellent choice when it comes to sitting down and enjoying a good sip of beer or two.
