Jakarta Private Cinemas

For those of you living in the Big J, you may have noticed, that we have some of the world’s most luxurious movie theaters. From sofa bed at the esteemed CGV to the Premiere experience at major XXI outlets, movie theaters in Indonesia, Jakarta specifically caters to an audience from mid to high market.

But if you crave for the latest film from Michael Haneke or maybe a flashback to the movies of Jacques Tati? The concept of culinary cinema is a relatively new idea to the city, but Paviliun 28 has been proven to be doing the concept justice, offering punters culinary delights and authentic Indonesian jamu before watching the movie, Paviliun 28 is also home to many indie acts and performances. KINOSAURUS

Kinosaurus offers a different experience in enjoying movies. Apart from a big screen located centrally, the place also offer a mean cup of Java for those who are willing to enjoy their movies with a cup of good coffee. Playing mostly local favorites, Kinosaurus has become a haven for those who loves Indonesian cinema. Dharmawangsa Square

One of the country’s oldest private cinemas, Subtitle also offers original DVDs and blu-ray titles for its members. And you can also bring your own movies to watch at their screening room. There are 3 studios that can accommodate up to 8 people per viewing and a special studio that can cater up to two persons only, installed with only the finest in home theater audio system.
