Tucked in a corner of the Cilandak Town Square is the one year old W&S Bottle Shop and Eatery that is making quite the buzz as a one-stop place both not only for liquor shopping but also casual dining. In their menu, you can find a good range of western food that gravitates toward comfort food. But what we recently came down to the restaurant to try was their buffet lunch promotion offered for only Rp. 85,000++. Sounds like a steal, doesn’t it? We came down to the restaurant to find out what it’s like for you.
Cilandak Town Square during lunch time is always busy with the office lunch crowd, and that day W&S was not exception, with guests coming in and going straight to the buffet. The restaurant is quite spacious, divided into the open kitchen area and buffet area, smoking and non-smoking dining area, bar, and also an outdoor seating area.
Each day, the lunch buffet changes; from Indonesian, Asian, Western, so coming here for every day of the week will give you different lunch. That day, the theme was Thailand cuisine and unlike a lot of buffet, the selection is not excessively extensive, but it is well-prepared and definitely has all you need in a satisfying meal.
In the open kitchen area, the chef was preparing Thai chicken sandwich to be served with dory fishcake, Asian style roulade, and Thai salad.
On the buffet, there was basil butter rice , stir-fried beef, Thai Spaghetti, tom yam soup, pickle, and sambal. On a separate table, a nice spread of sweets and desserts was served, which included mixed fruit compote, pudding, and petit four cakes.
For the price, the selection was definitely a bargain, especially considering the ‘carving station’ leta you have an unlimited plate of whatever it is that the chef offers that day. If you’re lucky, it will feature the restaurant’s signature meatloaf that you definitely need to try with or without the buffet. It is probably the best we’ve tried around, second best to having your grandma make it for you!

The daily lunch buffet is available from Monday to Friday, from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm for Rp. 85,000++ per person, inclusive of hot regular tea and coffee.
