Tomorrow, Jakarta Will Vote Its Leader

Dear Jakartans!

Tomorrow, Indonesians in more than 100 provinces, cities, and districts, including Jakarta, will go to the polls to elect regional heads with the contest for the powerful post of regional heads. Jakarta has three powerful candidates that are competing to secure the most influential regional head position in the country, the Jakarta Governor position. For you citizens of Jakarta, we urge you to use your right and cast your vote that will determine the city’s future for the next 5 years!

To give everyone equal opportunity to vote, a presidential decree has been released declaring the Election Day, February 15 as a national holiday. Bank Indonesia, the central bank, and the Indonesia Stock Exchange, known as the IDX, announced that they will conduct no banking or trading activities on Wednesday, The Jakarta Globe reports.
