The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia held the biennial “Green Hotel Award 2015″ to appreciate the 4 and 5 star hotels that uphold a green or environmentally friendly business conduct. “This is a tribute to hotels in Indonesia that has ‘green’ policies, development, management and cooperation within their hotels”, explained Siti Adiningsih Adiwoso chairman of the Green Hotel Award 2015 evaluation committee.
There are 20 hotels that meet the criteria required by the judges in the competition. The top 10 nominees will represent Indonesia in the ASEAN Green Hotel Award in Manila, Philippines. Hotel Santika Premiere Yogyakarta is one of the 10 hotels that will go forward to represent Indonesia in the prestigious event. “This achievement is an honor for us; Hotel Santika Premiere Yogyakarta also won in the year 2013. But this year we are more proud as we move up the ranking from top 20 into 3rd place”, said Hinggi Safaranti as Corporate Assistant Marketing Communications Manager of Santika Indonesia Hotels and Resorts representing Hotel Santika Premiere Jogjakarta to receive the award.
