JAKARTA, October 2015 – Anyone can help each other in many ways. Men, women, old, young, rich or poor; we all have the ability to help others.
Starwood Hotels and Resorts, in partnership with UNICEF, have a yearly fund raising competition between Starwood Hotels which is named the “UNICEF Check Out for Children Challenge”. This Challenge is a chance for all Starwood Hotels and Resorts associates in the region to come up with a creative event or campaign to raise funds for UNICEF educations projects throughout Asia Pacific.
Le Méridien Jakarta has joined the opportunity to participate and organize an event “HOPE – 1 Kakak Untuk 1 Adik” or 1 Brother/Sister for 1 Children. We invite people to join this activity and be a brother or sister for 1 day for orphanage kids.
The event is held on Saturday, 3 October 2015, we took 60 orphanage children to watch the movie (Hotel Transylvania 2) in Cinemaxx studio FX Mal and followed with some children activities from Timezone and Rumah Main Cikal also the acoustic performance by MBM ( Minutes Before Midnight) band. This fun charity event also supported by What’s New Jakarta as media partner. All proceeds raised will be donated for UNICEF education projects throughout the Asia pacific.
“Lots of children may be live in disadvantaged – some of them homeless, have no family or in poor economic condition, however this event shows that they are not alone. There are many people still care and want to give their hands to help. It shows lots of people happily hand-on-hand assuring the event runs sucesfully and raising some amount to be donated to help the underprivileged children.” said Robert Hogenstijn, General Manager Le Meridien Jakarta.
