The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta presents “East Java Food & Cultural Festival” for the whole month of October, at Lagoon Café. The opening ceremony took place on Thursday, 1 October 2015 by Mr. I Nyoman Sarya, General Manager of The Sultan Hotel & Residence.
In the event, the guests ranging from ambassadors, the hotel’s top clients, and media friends were entertained by traditional dances and also a cooking Demo by Executive Chef Agus Sugiyanto of special delicacies of east Java: Tahu Tek (mix of tofu and rice cake dressed in peanut sauce) and also Wedang Cor (warm ginger drink with various condiments).
Other iconic East Java food such as Lontong Balap, Tahu Campur, Rawon, Rujak Cingur and other regional specialties were also presented to the guests as an introduction to the festival. You can also try this exclusive presentation of dishes, prepared by The Sultan’s sister company in Surabaya under Singgasana Group, through the East Java Food & Cultural Festival cuisines available at Lagoon Cafe throughout the month of October.
