Union Jakarta Goes North (and Purple!)

Jakarta’s much-loved brasserie, bakery and bar by The Union Group is finally opening in North Jakarta! Fans of Union’s famous cakes, delicious bistro fare and award-winning cocktails can now have their fix in the PIK Avenue Mall outlet. Situated on the ground floor, the 120-seat establishment sports the same chic décor as its sister outlets, albeit with new design elements such as vintage kopitiam tiles and Tiffany-style glass windows.

Opening to the public soon on Monday 24^th of July 2017, the new Union PIK Avenue will surely be the new stomping ground for the area’s residents whether it’s for a lunch meeting, an afternoon catch-up session, a dinner date or a party spot.

Soon to be launched along with the outlet is a new cake by pastry chef Karen Carlotta, the  Ube Velvet Cake that’s naturally purple from the use of the ube that consists of purple yam and coconut sponge layers lathered with silky purple yam cream and topped with purple yam crumble and macaroon. Check out how pretty it is!
As with the other Union outlets, the bakery will offer signature cakes like the crowd favourite Red Velvet and Nastar Crumble, as well crusty European breads and freshly baked croissants. Don’t miss the mouth-watering doughnuts as well – bring home a box of half a dozen including the best selling Nutella Doughnut, Lemon Crumble Doughnut and Cheese Doughnut.
