Diabetes gets the nickname ‘silent killer’ for a very good reason. A research shows that in Indonesia, 60 percent of persons living with diabetes don’t even realize they have it. Many would come to the doctor when it’s too late; when it has started to spread to other complications: heart attack, stroke, blindness, kidney failure and lower limb amputation.
According to the International Diabetes Federation (diabetesatlas.org) As of 2014, more than 9 million adult Indonesians (from 20 to 79 years old) suffered from diabetes, making the country’s diabetes population the fifth largest in the world, after the US, China, India, and Brazil. This is a very serious problem, that the majority of people living in the country might not realize.
Controlling blood sugar (glucose) levels is the major goal of diabetes treatment, in order to prevent complications of the disease. Type 1 diabetes is managed with insulin as well as dietary changes and exercise. Type 2 diabetes may be managed with non-insulin medications, insulin, weight reduction, or dietary changes.
Latest Breakthrough
Currently, there are two breakthroughs in diabetes treatment that have been applied in leading countries of medical research such as USA, South Korea, Australia, and Europe: The SVF (Stromal Vascular Fraction) and the Hansler Blood Treatment.
Both of these treatments have one thing in common: they both retrieve a sample from the patient’s body, which then gets processed and injected back into the patient’s body on the same day for a dramatic result.
How does it work?
In the SVF treatment, about 100cc of patient’s body fat is harvested from the patient’s body to be processed into what’s called as the Stromal Vascular Fractions, that is made up primarily of stem cells and growth factors. Growth factors are very powerful messengers that our bodies use to signal cells. They are also able to turn on and off inflammation, and even cause cells to grow or die.
In the case of diabetic patients, the SVF that’s re-introduced to the patient’s body will signal the pancreas to be able to re-produce insulin. Subject to each individual’s condition, this supposedly quick and painless treatment should only take 1 day of treatment.
To support the SVF treatment, the Hansler therapy is usually introduced, a treatment first invented by Dr.Hänsler Ozonosan. a German physician, where a 50 cc of blood is taken from the patient and then mixed with low dosage O3/Ozone, and later injected back into the patient’s body. But be informed, this treatment should be treated not as a standalone ‘cure’, but instead as a supporting treatment to be administered before or after the aforementioned SVF.
The combination of these two treatments has shown significant results in the lowering of blood sugar level, repair of damaged blood cells, improved body metabolism and overall health condition of diabetic patients.
But How expensive does it really get? For patients in Indonesia, it is definitely going to be a lot cheaper than having to fly to China or even Europe. Some doctors that practice this treatment may advise the patient to do one or the other to stabilize and prepare their body.
Prior the treatment, ask your physician about what tests needed to be done before the treatment. On the day of the treatment, make sure that you refrain from alcohol, vitamins, any herbal drinks, anticoagulant medications.
