Your choice for luxury accommodation in Jakarta is about to get even more exciting. Westin Jakarta is ready to soft open this Friday (26/8), unveiling the much anticipated 272 rooms hotel that occupies 50 to 69 floor of the mixed-used Gama Tower, making it the highest hotel in Indonesia.
What’s New Jakarta made a visit to the towering hotel and finally had a good look at the hotel’s rooms and facilities. On the first floor, there’s the beautiful 3000 sqm ballroom that can fit up to 1,500 people, with an equally breathtaking foyer, decorated with hand blown glass shaped like trumpet flowers.
On the second floor, it gets more apparent how Westin wants to be the sure choice for five star corporate events, with 10 meeting rooms with various capacities, and a unique designated ‘retreat lounge’ where guests can enjoy coffee breaks during meetings or conventions.
Only the ballroom and the meeting rooms are located at the two lower level of the hotel, the rooms and other facilities, and even the hotel lobby, are located starting from the 50th floor of the building. To get there, you will get in the hotel only access that gets you from 2nd floor to 52nd floor in 40 seconds flat!
As you ‘arrive’ at the 2nd floor, you will be greeted with arguably the most beautiful, and definitely tallest view of Jakarta you can find. The lobby floor, surrounded with plenty of lounging area, and equipped with a simple f&b bar, has a sweeping 360 degrees view of the entire city, that will be incredibly hard to match.
Which is also the case with the hotel’s rooms. All 272 also offer an uninterrupted views
of the city. More room configurations will be introduced, especially after its grand opening, but currently, there are three types of rooms that are offered: the most standard is the 46-48 m2 Westin Room, then the 56 m2 Premier room, and the Renewal room, with ample 68m2 of space.
All the rooms are equipped with coffee machines 65 inch TV, and of course the Westin amenities, such as the world-renowned Heavenly® Bed and the Heavenly® Bath, and last but not least, glass windowed bathroom that will give you a direct view of the skyline, everywhere you are in the room!
Four unique dining venues serve a variety of culinary options alongside the brand’s nutrient-rich and delicious SuperFoodsRx™ menus. Seasonal Tastes, the all-day dining restaurant, presents buffet and a la carte options featuring local and international cuisine with 7 live cooking stations.
Although not yet ready, set to be a game changer for Jakarta dining scene is Henshin, on the top three floors of the building, which features Nikkei Cuisine with Japanese-Peruvian Flavors prepared by a specialty chefs as well as a rooftop alfresco bar featuring Crafted at Westin, the brand’s signature beverage program that features a fresh selection of expertly mixed cocktails infused with natural ingredients and local flavors.
