Commonwealth Bank today launches a breakthrough in banking that lets its new customers open new savings account in less than 10 minutes in a completely paperless registration method in their state of the art registration kiosks that are installed in convenient public places.
Get ready to see these kiosks, which are smaller than an ATM machine, in grocery stores and even restaurants. The kiosks will be attended by Commonwealth Bank’s staff that will help you go through the process, should it be necessary, and also validate your ID, as required by Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK).
The whole process from entering your name in the machine, to the printing of your ATM/debit card that can be used directly, is guaranteed to take less than 10 minutes and can be as quick as 3 minutes. Head of Corporate Strategy & Digital Solutions of Commonwealth Bank Rian Kaslan said that this move was seen as necessary with the city’s major infrastructure and traffic problem.
Not only that, this new way of paperless banking will save thousands of trees from being cut for the papers necessary for registration purposes. It is estimated every month, 1,480,000 forms are filled for the 740,000 new banking accounts, sacrificing more than 2 thousand trees per month!
Commonwealth’s New Way of Banking is the bank’s technological prowess to give a better end-to-end banking service that is not only fast and convenient but also safe, for its customers.
For a limited time during its promotional period, Commonwealth is giving away Giant shopping vouchers for opening a bank account and logging in to its internet/mobile banking.
