As one of the hotel that has been established since 1976, Sari Pan Pacific Jakarta has held so many CSR activities in Jakarta area. On October 25th, 2015, CARE Champion team held the “CARE Fun Sunday” together with Komunitas Jendela.
Komunitas Jendela, is a community that is focusing on supporting children’s education, creating the children’s awareness to learn through reading some books, developing a library and increasing children’s knowledge. Located at Jalan Manggarai Utara VI in South Jakarta, Komunitas Jendela was formed on March 12, 2011 in Yogyakarta. Started at 2:00pm, all the children gathered in the yard and did the story-telling competition as the opening. After a while, they could join the cookies decoration activity. The children were enthusiast to decorate the cookies that had been prepared by our RB&E (Restaurant, Bar and Event) Team.
After they finished decorating the cookies, CARE Champion team distributed chocolate milk and school stationaries to the children. At the end, we also presented some prizes for them who participated on the story telling activity. We hope by doing this event regularly, we could support the local communities program by helping them as volunteers and support the children education that live under privilege.
