On 23 and 24 November 2015 the Gastronomy Academy of Indonesia held the National Gastronomy Dialog with the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism to highlight 5 culinary destinations of Indonesia, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Solo, Semarang and Bali.
This event was inaugurated byMinister of Tourism of Indonesia Arief Yahya, in the presence of Ambassador of Denmark H.E. Casper Klynge, the chairman of the Gastronomy Academy of Indonesia Vita Datau Messakh,and William Wongso, one of Indonesia’s most renowned culinary expert.
In this event, Gran Mahakam received the award as Gastronomy Hotel 2015 for its dedication to Indonesian cuisine in its Le Gran Cafe with dishes such as Pecel Goreng, Pindang Serani, Soto Mie Mahakam, Soto Padang, Nasi Bali, Nasi Daun Jeruk, and others.
