2. Sriwijaya
Once you step inside this fine dining restaurant, you will immediately sense the richly textured imperial interior and aesthetic presentation of dishes, the feel of crisp linen on your lap and the gentle sounds of silver cutleries and glasses. The walls of this room are painted in a particular shade of red to imitate the main color used by the Palembang ladies to dye the silk threads of their famous hand loomed and double ikat woven fabric.
Sriwijaya offers intriguing cuisine in a la carte and degustation set menu, as well as selection of wines to pair with. For degustation set dinner, try our Indonesian-inspired menu from Palembang (South Sumatra) and Manado (South Sulawesi). Palembang-inspired dishes includes Tea smoked Spanish Lobster, with espuma of vanilla and lemon grass peanut, ebi sorbet as appetizer and Wagyu “Malbi” short-ribs with “pucuk labu” vegetables, fragrant rice “nasi minyak”, Palembang coffee rubbed wagyu striploin, braised oxtail, caramelized, potato puree and rosemary jus for main course. While our Manado-inspired dishes includes Pan Fried Foie Gras with braised oxtail and red kidney bean “brenebon” and Barramundi and Baby Lobster with lemon basil spaghetti, turmeric “tuturuga”, salmon caviar, and “dabu-dabu” relish.

3. Lara Djonggrang & La Bihzad Bar
Housed in an authentic Dutch mansion, Lara Djonggrang is an artistic representation and historical awakening of the glorious imperial era of the Majapahit Kingdom in an atmosphere of effortless elegance. The cuisine of the restaurant is inspired by a expeditions of by King Hayam Wuruk, who ruled Majapahit in the 14th century. As the king traveled from one region to another, he was presented with the awe-inspiring, delectable, vast varieties of dishes of the hinterlands. Not only is this restaurant a celebration of authentic recipes from around the archipelago, it is also a rich archive of Indonesian art. The bar, La Bihzad Bar, is dedicated to the 15th Century Herat artist, Bihzad.
