Rosso, the Italian restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, invites guests to relive their passion for true Italian cuisine. Rosso’s Italian Chef Gianfranco Pirrone (Chef Franco) offers an impeccable “all you can eat” Italian brunch buffet that is now available every Sunday.
Sunday brunch is a favourite event for its premium Italian buffet and the large selection of antipasti, a meat- and fish-carving station, fresh seafood on ice, including freshly shucked oysters going around the tables, a live-cooking pasta station with seafood and Foie Gras as topping, Italian cheeses and desserts with a selection of beverages for pairing.
Aside from the buffet, guests may enjoy Chef Franco’s made-to-order ala carte selections which are included in the buffet package. The favourite brunch egg creations are Uova alla Franco (Black Bun with Poached Eggs and Salmon Tartare served with Truffle Hollandaise Sauce), Uova Strapazatte (Ciabatta Bread with Scramble Eggs, Pecorino Cheese), Uova al Prosciutto (Toasted Soft Bun with Fried Egg, Parma Ham, and Sautéed Parmesan Spinach) and Franco’s Panino (Focaccia Bread with Fresh Tomato, Rocket, Mozzarella and Parmesan Cheese served with Pesto Sauce).
The ala carte selection also includes Chef Franco’s homemade pasta creations which are prepared fresh daily.
The menu varies from Spaghetti Polpa di Granchio e Acciughe (Spaghetti with Crabmeat and Anchovies served with Fennel Sauce and Spicy Bread Crumbs) and Filleto di Manzo (Beef Tenderloin and Foie Gras served with Sautéed Parmesan Spinach and Gorgonzola Sauce) to Agnolotti di Bufala e Pesto (Homemade Agnolotti filled with Buffalo Mozzarella served with Basil Pesto Sauce) and Filetto di Cernia (Grouper Fish Fillet in Mediterranean Tomato Sauce served with Sautéed Mixed Vegetables).
Rosso’s brunch buffet is available every Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for Rp.490,000++ (includes free-flowing mineral water, soft drinks and juices), Rp.878,000++ (includes free-flowing prosecco and red or white wine) and Rp.1,378,000++ (includes free-flowing beer, champagne, prosecco and red or white wine). Sunday kids’ activities are available on Level 1 and the hotel garden during brunch.
