Jakarta, Indonesia, 1 June 2016: InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) in Indonesia will celebrate its seventh year of “Celebrate Service Week” from 30 May – 3 June 2016. Held annually across IHG hotels and Corporate Offices around the globe, this initiative aims to recognize the hard work and dedication of colleagues across the company’s more than 5,000 hotels around the world through fun and engaging activities.
In celebration of the initaitive, IHG’s hotels in Indonesia have put together an exclusive “IHG’s Got Talent” show, the first talent competition for colleagues who work across hotels in Indonesia.
On 1 June 2016, fourteen (14) IHG hotels in Indonesia across 4 brands i.e InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotel’s from Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang and Surabaya participated in the competition held at Crowne Plaza Jakarta.
Two (2) teams per hotel had an opportunity to showcase their talent through creative and artistic performances in the form of a solo or group dancing and singing performances.
The panel of Judges comprised prominent figures from the entertainment industry, Ms Sonia Simanjuntak, Ms Eka Mairina and Mr Irzam R Dastriansyah. Ms Sonia is a prominent coach singer and Cultural Ambassador of 2012 for Indonesia. Ms Eka Mairina is a singer, TV artist and also a finalist of X Factor Indonesia. Irzam is the Deputy Director of Paragita Choir of the University of Indonesia.
The event was well attended by the General Managers and colleagues from 14 participating hotels. Each contestant or team was judged based on creativity, originality, technique and overall performance. Winner of the competition received an IHG trophy as well as 10,000 IHG Rewards Club points.
