This December, Pacific Restaurant and Lounge at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place has completed the transformation to the new face of dining in town. Introducing PASOLA, an all-day dining restaurant featuring International cuisines that celebrate the local farmers and food artisans of Indonesia.
The word Pasola means spear in the local language and derives from the Sanskrit sula. It is a traditional ceremony from Sumba, that express gratitude for a prosperous harvest. The five elements of the logo which are lotus, fish (koi), paddy, sunray and spear that each represent passion, perseverance, wealth, beginning and victory.
Led by Executive Chef Sean Macdougall and his culinary team, PASOLA will elevate the dining experience through creating exquisite dishes using fresh and locally sourced ingredients from around the archipelago. With a full bank of windows overlooking the city, the 60-seat PASOLA offers delectable arrays on the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner with an a la carte option.
To name a few of recommended dishes in the restaurant are Rendang Arancini, Barramundi dabu-dabu, Sop Buntut and Bali Chocolate Ganache Kecombrang infused. With new outstanding features, PASOLA during the day has dynamic, vibrant and refined ambiance that turns to subtle and relaxing after the dusk.
The lounge area sets a perfect setting spot with selection of light snacks, evening cocktails and wide range of cigar collections and mixes the best cocktails while enjoying conversations with friends or business colleagues. For an intimate experience, a business meeting or a family gathering, PASOLA offers three private dining rooms that can accommodate parties of up to 40 guests.
