Things get exciting in Kota Tua since ARTOTEL WEEK has come! Celebrating the 5th year ARTOTEL GROUP in the Indonesia hotel and creative Industry, creative communities and tourists are invited to Gedung Cipta Niaga, Kota Tua, to enjoy artworks by 12 local artists, live music, fun art market, art talk show, and workshops. The event runs from 8 – 11 November 2017.
The art exhibition will feature various artworks by 12 young artists with a residential artist concept. Each spot marks a unique style and personality, as they are given a total freedom as if they are working in their private home studio. This contrasting fusion between and old grandeur of the colonial building and vibrantly colorful work od arts add up to the uniqueness of the event.
The 12 young artists are Arya Mularama, Atreyu Moniaga, Bernie Barto, Bunga Fatia, Cherry Virginia, Dhado Wacky, Hana Madness, Hari Prast, Mahendra Nazar, Muklay and Tomodachi Studio. Meanwhile, all artworks are curated by Safrie Effendi, a rising artists and also the Art Manager of ARTOTEL Group.
Aside from exhibition, visitors are invited to know more about the artists over art talks, workshop, and live painting. Various topics about graffiti, pattern drawing, Indonesian comic art, and mural will be discussed together.
ARTOTEL WEEK also supports talented emerging music bands by partnering up with Urban Gigs. The bands that will play during the event are Silampukau x The Hydrant, Bitzmika, Wangi Gitaswara, Tokyolike, Witch Motor Inn, Pijar, and Peonies. Enjoy their contemporary music while going through artworks around you.
Through Art Market, visitors will be able to bring home the limited edition art merchandises, from fashion, accessories, to artworks. Food and beverages stalls are also available to be enjoyed. Furthermore, ARTOTEL WEEK will also bring a not to be missed garage sale by lifestyle influencers Reggy Alexander and Regina Raquel.
There is also another great news to share and celebrate! In the last five years, ARTOTEL GROUP has been expanding and innovating in order support the local creative and hospitality industry. This time, they are taking another big step, which is transforming Gedung Cipta Niaga to the second ARTOTEL in Jakarta. Yes!
