Proudly presents the appointment of Mr. Muhamad Munir as the new General Manager of Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers.
He was born in Palembang on August 5, 1971, but then he crossed the sea to study, spent 23 years in overseas. He accomplished his Master of Social Sciences in Economics (Honors) in 1994 with the 1st Class 1st result.
Munir began his career in 1990, where he worked for a well known hotel chain, Sheraton Dhaka as manager. His achievements brought him to a higher level for the hospitality industry in some neighboring countries such as Singapore and Malaysia. Entering 2000, Munir came to Batam to conquer new challenges there. He was the youngest GM in Batam at the time. His total dedication, hard work and honesty led him to the chair of “Best Manager” successively for 3 years in a row. With over 20 years of hospitality experience, Mr. Munir has an outstanding track record in the General Manager level.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Munir was managing Sheraton Mustika Yogjakarta Resort & Spa for about 8 (eight) years.
In his new capacity at Sheraton Bandung, Mr. Munir will oversee the hotel’s operations, which include 2 hectares of tropical gardens, eleven meeting rooms including our sumptuous ballroom and 156 guest rooms. He will lead the team in perfecting the commitment to provide guests with service excellence while maintaining daily operation performance, to deliver quality, financial result and guest satisfaction. With his expertise and extensive experience, Mr. Munir will become a valuable addition to the team of Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers.
Mr. Munir is a passionate leader who always believes that the success of an organization is not only from a good leader but has to be from a competent team. “Never afraid of your superior, but just afraid if you cannot fulfill your responsibilities” is his motto to encourage his associates.
