Jakarta, 14 September 2015 – In connection with the Literacy National Day on 8 September, CARE Champion (Community Action and Responsibility to the Environment) team from Sari Pan Pacific Jakarta held book donation collaborate with Komunitas Jendela on 11 September 2015. Book Donation has became the regular CSR that has been running for years. This event is regurarly held once in every 3 – 6 months.
Komunitas Jendela, is a community that is focusing on supporting children’s education, creating the children’s awareness to learn through reading some books, developing a library and increasing children’s knowledge. Located at Jalan Manggarai Utara VI in South Jakarta, Komunitas Jendela was formed on March 12, 2011 in Yogyakarta.
This book donation fund was coming from the profit that we gained during last garage sale event and we able to support around 62 educational books for Komunitas Jendela’s library as a part of our commitment to Corporate Social Responcibility, CARE Champion team (Community Action and Responsible to the Environment). The objective of this program is to meet the basic educational needs for the less fortunate kids in the society so that they can broaden their knowledge and secure a better future for themselves.
