Singapore serviced residence group Ascott Limited has been officially assigned to manage Somerset Asia Afrika Bandung, a serviced apartment situated at the historic Bandung street, Jalan Asia Afrika by PT Maju Makmur Usaha Bersama as the developer of Greko Asia Afrika Bandung, with 10 year of contract.
The agreement was signed by President Director of Greko Asia Afrika, Francis D. Kartantya and Regional GM and VP of Global Operations Ascott Limited Indonesia and Australia Kenneth Rogers last Monday at Ascott Somersett, Kuningan.
The serviced apartment will occupy 12 floors of the Greko Asia Afrika and will have 136 rooms in four configurations: studio, one bedroom, two bedroom, and three bedroom. Other than residence, the GREKO building will have a 5 floor creative hub that will be a home for the local creative SME industries.
Rogers explained that his company is optimistic with the development seeing Bandung’s constantly increasing demand for acommodation, especially for business travelers. “Bandung will see massive infrastructure development in the near future including a new international airport, fast train that connects the city with Jakarta, as well as double-track rail development.” said President Director of Greko Asia Afrika, Francis D. Kartantya after the signing.
Other than a more spacious area, serviced apartment also offers better privacy and flexibility with its home-like facilities including full kitchen and service room, yet with equal if not better service than hotels.
Somerset Asia Afrika Bandung is set to open by the first quarter of 2019 and makes it the first Ascott to operate in Bandung and the third in Indonesia.
