Batik Keris is one of the oldest and largest batik company in Indonesia, with more than 88 stores all over Indonesia and 29 of them spread  in shopping centers of Jakarta and Tangerang. This gigantic mall is a haven for Batik lovers; from precious hand drawn silk batik, handwoven ikats, to batik shirts and handicrafts with bargain price. You do need to haggle yourself to the best price, and because of its immense size, it is very easy to get lost in the maze of shops.

Alun-alun, or city center in Indonesian, is a modern retail space in Grand Indonesia mall that curates the finest and most unique of Indonesia’s handicrafts. Famous as the place to go for Indonesian souvenir hunting in Jakarta. With an entire floor dedicated for handicrafts, including wood carvings, silveworks, and weaving from all over Indonesia, and another entirely for batiks, this place has it all. One drawback, all the prices have been marked up at least twice from normal price. We suggest you to only come here if you have absolutely no more time to hunt!

Directly managed by the State Ministry of Cooperatives & SMEs, this store is dedicated to showcase Indonesia’s quality products from all 34 provinces in Indonesia, spread in 4 floors. The place claims to only mark the price up about 25%, but to be sure, you’ll have to see for yourself!
