Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta is delighted to announce the appointment of Melanie Hamedl as Director of Food and Beverage. Mrs. Hamedl first joined the Group at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong as the Director of Restaurant Operations in December 2016 during which time she has oversaw all outlets, bars and banqueting operations, as well as supported and initiated business strategies to drive profit. With more than 20 years of experience, she will lead Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta’s Food and Beverage team in creating innovative culinary excellence and deliver guests with legendary dining experience.
An Austrian national, she studied in Hotel Management School, Steinach-Irdning, Austria and graduated with distinction before embarking on her hospitality career. Prior to joining Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Mrs. Hamedl’s journey within the luxury hotel sector has taken her to Scotland, France, New Zealand, Australia, China, and Vietnam.
