Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta welcomes the arrival of the Year of The Dog on February 2018 with an array of special festive offerings and invites guests to ring in the new and prosperous year by enjoying a range of dining indulgences overflowing with the taste of the Orient.
To add more joy to the celebration, lion and dragon dancers will spread the festive spirit around the hotel on Chinese New Year’s Eve and Chinese New Year’s Day.
at JIA, the hotel’s newest restaurant Executive Chef Christopher Chai will prepare Chinese set menu for the festivities including: salmon Yee Sang, eight-treasure Pot, deep-fried tiger king prawn with golden pumpkin sauce, braised whole sea cucumber stuffed shrimp paste with dried oyster, steamed Marble goby, garoupa or cod fish, wok-fried glutinous rice with preserved meat, chilled lotus seed, aloe vera, red date and white fungus and finally the not to be missed steamed Nian Gao with peanut and sesame seed.

While in SATOO, a range of Chinese specialties and Yee Shang toss tradition into its buffet offerings for the Chinese New Year Eve’s dinner and Chinese New Year’s Day brunch.
at Lobby Lounge,a special Chinese themed high tea will be presented beautifully in tiers, inspired by JIA’s Chinese specialties recipe. Menus include: Roast Duck Baguette Barbeque Sauce, Open Sandwich of Hainan Chicken, Baked Scallop with Stuffed Shrimp Paste and Bean-Cured Miso Mayo, Pan-Fried Beef Tenderloin with Sliced Garlic BBQ Sauce, Matcha and Red Bean Cake and Sesame Balls. The Chinese New Year-themed afternoon tea will be available every day in February 2018, from 3 to 6 p.m.
