The Westin Jakarta, part of Marriott International Inc., introduces “Flavors of India” from 12-23 March 2018 at Seasonal Tastes all-day dining restaurant, featuring guest chef Nandan Singh Dhami from JW Marriott Mumbai. This special event is a collaboration between The Westin Jakarta and Embassy of India in Jakarta as part of Indian Food Festival.
During the two weeks period, the Indian Food Festival “Flavors of India” will showcase some of the choicest and best of Indian cuisine to the Indonesian food connoisseurs. Some of the highlighted dishes during the promotion include Mushroom Cheese Kurkure, Til Wale Aloo, Goan Fish Curry, Prawn Masala, Malai Kofta, Paneer Tikka Masala, and live cooking stations of Kathi Roll, Malbari Paratha, and many more.
Arun Kumar, General Manager of The Westin Jakarta quoted The Indian-Indonesian relationship stretches back to almost two millennia. Between the 13th to 15th century, Indonesian has begun to absorb culinary influences from India and the Middle East. Historically, Indonesian food is inspired by Indian spices.
Seasonal Tastes at The Westin Jakarta is the highest buffet restaurant in Jakarta, offering a breathtaking Jakarta skyline view and an unforgettable dining experience. The restaurant offers seven line interactive kitchen concepts under the helm of Iron Chef Winner, Chef Denny Boy Gunawan who will collaborate with Chef Dhami to present the heritage Indian food at live cooking stations.
