New Chef In Town

Le Meridien Jakarta welcomes their new Executive Chef, Chef Desmond Carneiro who was born in New Delhi, India, and have served the world’s most prestigious tables from luxurious brands like Marriott Hotel, other Starwood properties and AccorHotels. He has honed his culinary expertise throughout the years of working for various establishments in Australia and Asia.

Known for his passionate skill of details and the love of food, Chef Carneiro will head the hotel’s extensive culinary team from catering to 396 guest rooms to creating distinctive menu experiences for the hotel’s various F&B outlets, including our favourites Al Nafoura and La Brasserie, not to mention, the 1.000 capacity of Sasono Mulyo Ballroom, Chef Carneiro will be delivering his enduring love of food to the city’s most discerning palate at the Le Meridien Jakarta.

Chef Carneiro will be focusing on fresh produce local ingredients in addition to local flavors that is driven to perfection. Having been working for places like the Sydney Harbor Marriott Hotel, we will surely excited to what the chef will present to the city’s passionate foodie after helming the culinary experience of one of the capital’s most prestigious address.
