Accessible from Jakarta in a little over 2 hours, Anyer is a popular holiday destination for Jakartans. It was once the biggest Dutch port in Selat Sunda before being destroyed by the tidal waves generated by Krakatau eruption. Some of Anyer’s most popular destinations include the dutch-built Anyer Lighthouse, Carita Beach, and Karang Bolong beach, 11 km south of Anyer where a huge rock forms a natural archway from land to sea. The Ujung Kulon National Park with its exotic wildlife or the Anak Krakatau, can also be reached within an hour. Here is some accommodation that you can consider for your Anyer vacation. Major tip: leave very early from Jakarta to avoid the traffic entering the area.
1. Aston Anyer Beach Resort
Aston Anyer Beach Resort is an oceanfront resort with stunning sunset views, ideal for a family holiday in Anyer. It boasts 101 stylish rooms and suites, together with the cozy all-day dining Sunset Café signature restaurant, an outdoor pool for adults and kids, as well as a number of recreational facilities for the whole family, like pool, ping-pong, and even a bonfire pit to roast marshmallows under the sky.

2. Villa Stefan
Villa Stefan has been around for a while but due to its manageable property (with only 6 villas in total) remains as one of the better-preserved accommodation in the area. Great for larger number of family or friends staying together, tp a maximum of 20 guests. The beach they’re on, Karang Bolong, is one of the less crowded ones in the area although it can still get pretty packed on weekends.
