Festive celebrations starts 01 December 2015 at Hotel Borobudur with the launching of Kamasean Matthew’s Signature Rainbow Guitar Christmas Log.
Special Edition Rainbow Guitar Christmas Log By Kamasean Matthews
Mr. Patrick Beck initiated to make something special by introducing Signature Christmas Log this year. Kamasean Matthews is a young Indonesian artist and has been selected by Hotel Borobudur Jakarta to create a special holiday season log to be showcased in the Gourmet. With a guitar log design, Kamasean blended the colors using rainbow as inspiration while the Pastry Team of Hotel Borobudur created a blueberry sponge rollade, opera cake covered with massa ticino (sugar paste) and dark chocolate. Added into the design is a beautiful white chocolate dome and special cutting of Kamasean’s rainbow guitar as the garnish.
“We are very excited to bring Kamasean Matthews as our Christmas Log Icon,” explains Mr. Patrick Beck. “She possesses an incredible voice and talent. She took our offering as an opportunity to spread the spirit of Christmas to everyone. Our customers are going to love her special edition log and will love what Hotel Borobudur Jakarta creates for Christmas and festive seasons. We will sell the cake in 2 sizes, big log at Rp. 620.000 nett and small log at Rp. 460.000 nett”
About Kamasean Matthews
Kamasean Yoce Matthews (born in Jakarta, Indonesia, June 30, 1995, age 20 years) is a singer of Indonesian nationality. She has Toraja in her blood from his father named Sean Yoce D. Matthews and Batak from his mother named Henny Napitupulu. She was runner-up of talent show Indonesian Idol seventh season.
She was the youngest contestant in the history of Indonesian Idol. Kamasean appearance on the stage often gets praise from the judges because she can sing in all genres music equally well. Prior to the Indonesian Idol, Sean was a finalist of Academy Fantasy Junior (AFI Junior) which aired in Indosiar TV station.
Kamasean Matthews has released two singles named “How could you?” In 2013 and “If only” in 2015.
About Yule Log
A Yule log (or bûche de Noël French pronunciation) is a traditional dessert served near Christmas, especially in France, Quebec and several former French colonies. Made of sponge cake to resemble a miniature actual Yule log, it is a form of sweet roulade.
The original Yule log recipe emerged during the 19th century. It is traditionally made from a genoise, generally baked in a large, shallow Swiss roll pan, iced, rolled to form a cylinder, and iced again on the outside. The most common combination is basic yellow sponge cake and chocolate buttercream, though many variations which include chocolate cake, ganache, and icings flavored with espresso or liqueurs exist.
Yule logs are often served with one end cut off and set a top the log, or protruding from its side to resemble a chopped off branch. A bark-like texture is often produced by dragging a fork through the icing, and powdered sugar sprinkled to resemble snow. Other log decorations may include actual tree branches, fresh berries, and mushrooms made ofmeringue.
The name bûche de Noël originally referred to the Yule log itself, and was transferred to the dessert only after the custom had fallen out of use, presumably during the first half of the 20th century. By 1945 it referred to the log.
