New Fun Spot: Bounce Street Asia Trampoline Park

Who doesn’t think that jumping up and down and being airborne on a trampoline is a lot of fun? And it is not exclusive for kids either! Even more fun is if you can do all sorts of jumping in over than 1000 sqm area of trampolines!

bouncestreetasia_jakarta4

Recently opened was Bounce Street Asia Trampoline Park, Jakarta’s only largest and first state-of-art trampoline park that allows you to defy the rules of gravity by setting you up on a thrilling aerial adventure. Whether it’s running up a wall, bouncing for fun, slam dunking or maneuvering your flight moves, be ready to experience the ultimate airborne rush, they have it all, occupying a total area of 2,500 sqm, with more than half allocated just for the trampolines.

bouncestreetasia_jakarta3

The surface of this arena is interconnected with circus-grade sponge, springs and airbags making it the perfect turf for a range of activities. You can find basketball lanes, a dodgeball area, a climbing and a jumping zone, along with a dedicated kid’s section.

All these games and activities sound awesome right? Well, that’s not all; the best part is that they also double up as a form of hard core cardio exercise without you even noticing that you’ve been working out all this time!

Now everyone can get bouncing. Whether you’re five or 55 years of age, a fitness junkie or just here for fun, there’s a little something for everyone. The vibe and energy here is constantly high and buzzing. The friendly staff is always around to assist you with safety measures and teach you a few moves along the way too.
What’s Inside

Other than the trampolines, the foam pits, they also have the Aero Ball, a combination of volleyball and basketball where two players stand in separate cages and shoot the ball in the other ones goal. What makes it interesting is that you’ll be bouncing throughout.

There’s also the fun Spider Tower a spherical maze where kids can climb and slide down into the foam pit below. The Gladiator War Zone enables you to battle an opponent standing on a narrow beam and try to knock them off, but don’t worry about the fall, you will land into a safe foam pit that’s filled with foam cubes and is completely safe, and probably more fun than winning!

bouncestreetasia_jakarta2

You can also Race, scale or climb your way up the ‘wall’. Again, you don’t have to worry about falling down as you’ll land straight into the soft and comfy foam pit. There are still tons of other things to do like double dodgeball, freedom jump, slam dunk, and many others that you have to experience yourself!

New Healthy Dining Spot: Berrywell

With more Jakartans getting into the healthy bandwagon, expect more places that serve ultra-healthy food items that will make you want to ditch your gorengan and your bubur ayam morning routine. One of such food spots that we’re pretty excited about is Berrywell, a healthy bar that prides itself in their smoothie bowl, which is exactly that: smoothie in a bowl, topped with equally healthy toppings that wouldn’t get through a straw, hence the bowl.

Located in SCBD’s Fairgrounds, coming here for the very first time will be a little chore. There’s absolutely no name sign whatsoever of this place, and lack of detailed description in the social media of where in Fairgrounds they actually are doesn’t help either. Thankfully a helpful gentleman pointed me to the right direction, which is in the building’s parking lot literally hidden away from plain sight.

berrywell_jakarta6

Which means that this ‘bar’ is completely deprived of any daylight sun too. But they make up with abundant lighting and white walls that gives a clean and spacious filling, despite occupying such a cramped space. In that Sunday morning, half of their seating areas are occupied, mostly by those still fully clad in their exercising gear.

The menu is pretty simple; there’s the smoothie bowl I mentioned, actual smoothies, cold-pressed juice, small selection of vegetarian friendly and definitely healthy wraps and burgers, cakes, teas and coffee, nearly all with calorie count displayed. The cold pressed are juices presented on the ice box by the bar, easy to grab yourself while you order the made to order smoothies. I grabbed the Asian Green (with cucumber, apple, pineapple, spinach, and lemon) while I order for the Berrywell Signature smoothie bowl.

berrywell_jakarta5

All the smoothie bowls come in two sizes, regular and large. I opted the regular one and it was pretty filling. It consists of smoothly pulsed bananas with coconut water, acai, raspberries, strawberries topped with sliced bananas, kiwi, multi grain mix, cocoa nibs, shredded coconuts, and chia seeds. It definitely is a different sensation spooning your smoothie, and all the nutritious toppings definitely add an extra crunch that satiates your brain that always craves for texture.

berrywell_jakarta2

There are 7 other options of tempting smoothie bowls that will tease even the least health conscious; from PB & B (with banana and peanut butter), Pina Colada (with coconut, pineapple, banana, peach), Choco Chia Parfait (with chocolate, chia, coffee, and multigrain mix). All bowls served will also come with a shot glass to drink your all you can drink infused water from, provided free of charge.

berrywell_jakarta4

Coming here out on a whim, I’m pretty happy with what they’ve got to offer and will come back to try the other smoothie bowls and the guilt-free desserts. For any health conscious foodie or anyone who needs an inspiration on how to get more fruit and ‘superfood’ into your system, Berrywell is definitely a must try.
