Crowne Plaza Jakarta IHG CR Week

As part of InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) annual program, Crowne Plaza Jakarta organized a Corporate Responsibility (CR) Week from 17 – 21 August 2015. The purpose of this event is to demonstrate IHG commitment to protecting the environment  through sustainability program which is one of the two pillars of IHG corporate responsibility agenda.

For the entire week,  Crowne Plaza Jakarta held various fun sustainability activities such as Flower arrangement competition, Hydrophonic training, Green menu in Employee Dining Area, setting up Self Composting Facility, Skill Competition among students of IHG Academy program as well as webinar sessions of successful implementation of green solutions from Green Engage and hotel’s training under IHG Academy program in sister hotels in Asia and Middle East regions. Support Bangkok through Food Festival

Jakarta, 26 August 2015 : Ms Busakorn Prommanot, as Director of The Tourism Authority of Thailand  and the Mayor of North Jakarta, Dr. Toni Sukanda – Economy Assistant of North Jakarta Administrative officially opened the Taste of Thai Festival that will be held from 25 August 2015 to 4 September 2015 at Holiday Inn Jakarta Kemayoran.

“We love to support this kind of positive program and I hope the hospitality industry will continue similar activities in order to support the advance of tourism between our two countries” said Ms. Busakorn Prommanot, the Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Taste of Thai Festival presents invited guest Chefs Pongsathorn Jaimaen and Nipon Sornphome from Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park Hotel to present delightful authentic Thai cuisine for lunch and dinner at Botany Restaurant.

A Table With Chef Edward At Rosso Shangri-La, Jakarta

On Thursday, 27th of August 2015, South Korean’s celebrity chef Edward Kwon traveled to Jakarta to lend his genius expertise to host a group of guests at Shangrila’s Rosso to share his interpretation of modern Korean cuisine. Chef Kwon, world renowned for his quest to globalize his national cuisine, wowed the VIP guests with his expertise in incorporating Korean elements with western method of cooking. Throughout the 4 course meal, the dishes were paired with the Wolf Blass’ exclusive selection of white and red wine.
